After taking a dip in the sea, head to Lighthouse Beach which is situated adjacent to the Kanyakumari Beach. Here, you can climb up the lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful views of the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Continue your beach hopping to Sothavilai Beach which is located about 10 km from Kanyakumari. This tranquil beach is less crowded and offers a peaceful atmosphere to relax with your friends.
End your first day with a stunning sunset view at the Kanyakumari Pier. This iconic landmark is famous for its confluence of three water bodies: the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Bay of Bengal. Take a stroll on the pier and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the sunset. After the sunset, head to the nearby Triveni Sangam which is the meeting point of three seas. These two iconic monuments are located on a rocky island about 500 metres off the coast of Kanyakumari. To reach the island, you need to take a ferry from the Kanyakumari Pier. The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a tribute to Swami Vivekananda, a renowned spiritual leader who meditated on the rock. The Thiruvalluvar Statue is a 133-foot-tall stone sculpture of the Tamil poet and philosopher, Thiruvalluvar.
End your trip with some shopping and nightlife at The Calle, a bustling street market in Kanyakumari. Here, you can find a variety of souvenirs, handicrafts, and local delicacies. The Calle is also home to many bars and pubs where you can experience the nightlife of Kanyakumari.
If you have more time, you can also visit the nearby Gandhi Memorial and the Mathur Hanging Trough Bridge. If you have less time, you can skip Sothavilai Beach and Triveni Sangam.
