  1. Day 1: Kanyakumari Beach

    In the morning, watch the sunrise at Kanyakumari Beach. Enjoy the calm and serene atmosphere of this beach. In the afternoon, take a dip in the waters of the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, which meet at this point. In the evening, stroll along the beach and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Vivekananda Rock Memorial
    10 minutes (0.5 miles) by ferry from Kanyakumari Beach

    In the morning, take a ferry to Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The rock is believed to be the place where Swami Vivekananda attained enlightenment. Explore the memorial, which consists of two main structures – Vivekananda Mandapam and Shripada Mandapam. In the afternoon, visit the adjoining Thiruvalluvar Statue, a 133-feet tall statue of the Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. In the evening, return to Kanyakumari Beach to watch the sunset.

Recommendations

Visit the Suchindram Thanumalayan Temple, which is about a 30-minute drive from Kanyakumari. The temple is known for its intricate stone carvings and houses a statue depicting the Trimurti of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva in a single body. Another recommended side trip is to the nearby town of Padmanabhapuram, which is known for its 16th-century wooden palace.
