3-Day Nature Itinerary for Kanyakumari in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Thiruvalluvar Statue and Vivekananda Rock Memorial
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Kanyakumari Beach

    In the morning, visit the impressive Thiruvalluvar Statue which stands on a small island off the coast of Kanyakumari. You can take a ferry to reach the island and explore the statue and its surroundings. For lunch, return to the mainland and try some local seafood delicacies at one of the nearby restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial which is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, a famous Indian spiritual leader. The memorial also offers panoramic views of the surrounding ocean. In the evening, head back to the mainland and watch the sunset at Kanyakumari Beach.

  2. Day 2: Kanyakumari Wildlife Sanctuary and Padmanabhapuram Palace
    30 minutes (16.5 miles) from Kanyakumari Beach

    Spend the morning exploring the Kanyakumari Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to a variety of animals and birds. Take a guided tour through the sanctuary to learn more about the local flora and fauna. For lunch, stop at a nearby restaurant and try some of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, head to the Vattakottai Fort which is located on a hill overlooking the ocean. The fort was built in the 18th century and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the evening, return to Kanyakumari and watch the sunset at the nearby Muttom Beach.

If you have time, consider taking a day trip to the nearby town of Nagercoil which is known for its beautiful temples and markets.
